WHO IS THIS PROGRAMME FOR?
The Remote Support Programme is designed for clients with neurological and neurodegenerative conditions. Conditions appropriate for remote support include Motor Neurone Disease/ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Functional Neurological Disorder, Stroke and Ataxia.
This programme is offered to eligible clients after they
complete their first intensive programme (minimum 4 days) or 12+ hours of in person work with an APEX NEURO practitioner. Clients will not be offered Remote Support until after their in-person time with us as we need to establish specifics (underlying weaknesses driving physical symptoms and challenges, pad placement, appropriate training, life factors etc) to personalise the programme.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAMME?
BRIDGING THE GAP
The vast majority of our clients travel significant distances to work with us. We have created this programme to bridge the gap between appointments and help clients continue to progress after in person work with us. When you have a neurodegenerative condition, lots can change in a short space of time, so we created a platform that would increase the ‘touch-points’ between/after time with us, and allow us to offer continued support no matter the distance.
POWER IN OBJECTIVITY
Hundreds of conversations with clients demonstrated a clear thread, (especially with neurodegenerative conditions) that so much of life after diagnosis is reactive - waiting for change to happen, then working out how to navigate this - and left to guesswork. We wanted a way to add more objectivity to living with these conditions - tracking data points to allows us to become more proactive, and take power back.
SUPPORT & STRUCTURE
This programme is designed to widen the support network for individuals with life-altering conditions. Weekly check-ins are designed to give a place for objective feedback and expert support. The contents of the programme can be shared with the individual's support network to bring everyone onto the same page. The programme provides structure for daily neurorehab habits which are fundamental to success.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAMME INVOLVE?
Part 1. In-Person
Clients must first complete a minimum 4 day intensive, or 12 hours of in person sessions. We will only offer this programme to clients we think it is appropriate for, and it is essential you have worked with us in person (otherwise we would just be guessing - which isn't our way!) During the in-person part of the programme, we will aim to help you progress as far as possible, while gathering the necessary information to form your Remote Support programme. The knowledge gained during this time will allow us to create a tailored, purpose-built programme.
Part 2. Remote Support
This is a bespoke programme involving home electrostimulation therapy, tailored training programmes and ongoing support from our Clinic Director (Sarah Steel).
• Personalised electrostimulation programme
• Personalised training programme (home or gym)
• Weekly check-in and ongoing support
• Online platform access
• Programme updates in line with data and feedback
