HOW DOES REMOTE SUPPORT WORK?
Phase 1: In-Person Foundation
Before beginning remote support, we establish a strong understanding of your specific needs through an in-person foundation (min. 4-day intensive programme / 12 hours) during which we will develop your tailored remote programme framework.
This initial in-person phase is essential—we don't believe in guesswork when it comes to neurological rehabilitation.
Phase 2: Comprehensive Remote Support
Following your in-person foundation, your personalised Remote Support Programme includes:
-
Electrostimulation Protocol: Precise parameters for home-based neuromuscular electrical stimulation using a cost-effective device (£380). We do not expect clients to purchase the device we use in the clinic, which carries a significantly higher price point.
-
Training Programme: Tailored to your specific functional needs and home/gym environment.
-
Nutritional Monitoring: Includes optional access to a Dr of Nutrition linked with APEX NEURO.
-
Weekly Virtual Check-ins: Direct access to our Clinic Director, Sarah Steel, taking a proactive and data-driven stance to home rehab.
-
Online Platform: Access your programme, track progress, and communicate with our team.
-
Dynamic Programme Updates: Regular adjustments based on your feedback and progress data.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAMME?
BRIDGING THE GAP: The vast majority of our clients travel significant distances to work with us. We have created this programme to bridge the gap between appointments and help clients continue to progress after in person work with us. When you have a neurodegenerative condition, lots can change in a short space of time, so we created this platform to increase the ‘touch-points’ between/after time with us and allow us to offer continued support no matter the distance.

POWER IN OBJECTIVITY: Hundreds of conversations with clients demonstrated a clear thread, (especially with neurodegenerative conditions) that so much of life after diagnosis is reactive - waiting for change to happen, then working out how to navigate this - and left to guesswork. We wanted a way to add more objectivity to living with these conditions - tracking data points to allows us to become more proactive, and take power back.

SUPPORT & STRUCTURE: This programme is designed to widen the support network for individuals with life-altering conditions. Weekly check-ins are designed to give a place for objective feedback and expert support. The contents of the programme can be shared with the individual's support network to bring everyone onto the same page. The programme provides structure for daily neurorehab habits which are fundamental to success.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this programme available worldwide?
Yes, our Remote Support Programme is designed for clients globally. Most of our clients are not local, often travelling from across the world to work with us (requires an internet connection).
What makes this different from virtual rehab?
This programme is not video-based rehab, which we find to be typically ineffective for complex conditions.
It is a programme combining both in-person components and access to our remote support platform. It has been specifically designed for complex neurological conditions and incorporates elements like home electrostimulation, objective progress tracking and protocols based on the APEX NEURO method which have been honed during years of working with neurodegenerative conditions.
How often will I connect with the team?
The standard programme includes weekly check-ins and an in-portal messaging service for direct access to the programme manager.
Do I need to purchase a device?
You will need to purchase an electrical stimulation device for home use. This device has been tried and tested by us for 3 years prior to developing this programme and costs £380 (including an exclusive 10% discount arranged for clients). If grip is weak, some clients purchase specific grip aids designed for use with gym machines (10% discount arranged).
