One of the most common questions we get asked is “what happens when I go home?”
Understanding triggers is key to developing appropriate strategies to maintain the results we achieve with FND. Building in maintenance strategies that don’t need our input, such as specific types of training and in some cases using a home e-stim device puts the power back into our clients hands. We don’t want anyone to rely on us! Many of our clients benefit from coaching on how to use the gym for long term management of FND.
Angel, who started her 3 day programme reliant on crutches, was walking independently and using the gym by her last day. Laura took the final session to teach Angel the training method, get her used to using the equipment and getting her set up for success after she left us. Angel recently tagged us in a video of her dancing at her Mum’s birthday party, something she had only dreamed about a few months ago!
