Functional Neurological Disorder (FND): tremors and training

FND tremors have been one of the most persistent symptoms Jai experiences. Rob and Jai worked intensively to begin to understand the weakness, changes in gat and co-ordination and tremors, beginning with electrical stimulation aiming to improve the communication between her brain and body. They were then able to progress into the gym, which will become an important maintenance strategy — this helps them pinpoint a specific weakness which likely ties into the full picture of her FND.

With a condition as complex and poorly understood as FND, practitioner have to be able to adapt as they go as they learn new insights - this is why a ‘one size fits all’ generally doesn’t help with Functional Neurological Disorder!
