Wheelchair to walking in 5 days (15hours) Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
Colin reached out to us after 4+ years of FND presenting in uncontrollable movements, seizures and convulsions left him primarily using a wheelchair. Colin found out about APEX NEURO through a relative with HSP who had great results working one of his relatives.
Within 5 days Colin makes incredible progress - from relying on the wheelchair, to walking indoors, even outside on a cold February day (previously the cold would trigger intense symptoms). Luke had spent some of the 15 hour intensive programme helping Colin learn to control the convulsions in the clinic, but they were keen to test this against the elements in the real world.
Before the end of the 5 days, Luke and Colin get into the gym so Luke can teach Colin specific training methods which form part of the maintenance strategy once he returns home. After many years of challenges, Colin sent us an update not long after leaving from his return to sword-fighting, a passion he had been unable to do for a long time!
