Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) 5 Day Progress

“I was diagnosed with PPMS in 2021 and, before coming to Apex Neuro, I could hardly walk without a cane or other support, sometimes needing a wheelchair. After this week, I truly remembered what it feels like to walk again. The experience I had there is almost impossible to put into words. 5 days progress with Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) - walking with a stick to walking unaided! Pieter travelled from France to work with APEX NEURO for 5 days after declining mobility due to MS progression.
Luke starts by completing foundation work - minimising spasticity, improving range of motion, muscle control and sensation, working on Pieter’s foot alignment to land in a more stable way. This work forms the basis of the improvements once they start to practice walking.
At first, Peter uses his stick while he starts to implement the changes, but before the end of the week, he’s able to walk completely unaided. 15 hours of brilliant progress forms a great start for the work Pieter will continue at home - he will need to build strength using the gym and enforce the new patterns of movement they started together during his time in the UK.
