What is APEX NEURO?

APEX NEURO is a specialist neurological rehabilitation clinic

based in Cheshire, founded by a husband and wife team

with one aim: to set a new standard for neurorehabilitation.

APEX NEURO gives people living with complex conditions

access to cutting-edge, evidence based interventions,

focusing on what IS possible, rather than what isn’t.

A small team, with a global reach.

APEX NEURO has supported clients from over 40 countries

and counting. The goal is not only to help as many people as

possible, but to spark wider conversations about the

current (often outdated) outlooks for neurological and

degenerative conditions, and how countries around the

world are missing opportunities to improve and extend

independence, function and quality of life.

Conversations with hundreds of people living with

degenerative conditions revealed the same story - that the

medical world focuses primarily on two points - diagnosis

and end-of-life. But there is so much more that could, and

should, be done in the ‘middle’ of the journey. 

What you may not know about

APEX NEURO.

APEX NEURO has grown to deliver world-

leading results, without any investment or

funding. The founding team invested their

personal savings to make this business

happen, and they have been fortunate to

find exceptional people to join the team as

they have grown.

This is more than “just a business”.

Founder, Robert Cartwright-Steel, grew up

with a sister (Karen) who was diagnosed

with brain cancer at the age of 9. Over the

course of the next 20 years, Karen lost her

sight, hearing and mobility. This experience

placed Rob in a position to deeply

understand the limitations of ‘traditional’

neurological rehab and care, and what living

with a degenerative and incurable condition

really means.

Sarah Cartwright-Steel experienced a

traumatic brain injury in 2020, through

which she indentified first-hand how far

behind the UK is when it comes to

neurorehabilitation. She utilised

progressive, technology driven approaches

from the USA to facilitate her own full

recovery from the TBI, which ultimately lead

to the conception of APEX NEURO.
