“I haven’t been able to get up like that for a while!” Multiple Sclerosis
After improving Pauline’s signals to key muscles, Erin focuses on Pauline’s power, stability and confidence going from sit to stand - after a few attempts (most clients learn to rely on using their hands or pushing off the object they’re sat on after sit to stand becomes more challenging) - Pauline takes them both by surprise! Notice that this stage is no help from the electrical stimulation - this is all Pauline’s body with some coaching and corrections from Erin.
Our goal with Multiple Sclerosis clients is to transition from using the e-stim (which helps improve the signals) to the client being able to do the movements independently.
