Multiple Sclerosis Intensive - First week at APEX NEURO - building foundations

Sotiris travelled from Greece 🇬🇷 with his family to APEX NEURO 🇬🇧 to start our work together with a 5 day intensive programme. Sotiris has experienced significant decline due to Multiple Sclerosis over many years, but is committed to the journey and the work he’d need to do. Sotiris is currently dependent on a wheelchair, experiencing symptoms in both his upper and lower body. During this first visit, Rob begins building the ‘foundations’ - using electrical stimulation to begin improving muscle responses. Our goal with time and work (that continues when he returns home) is to begin to replicate these movements without the help of the electric. Alongside the main goal of improving muscle response, Rob is working with Sotiris’s family who are an amazing support system and will help him implement all the aspects of the remote support programme back home. Although Sotiris can contact the APEX NEURO team, having family and loved ones involved in this process, keeping clients consistent, is often extremely beneficial for progress.
