Multiple Sclerosis - Improving Spasticity
Multiple Sclerosis - Improving Spasticity
Dealing with spasticity is a daily practice at APEX NEURO and is often fundamental first step for many clients, with the most common condition being Multiple Sclerosis. As spasticity limits range of motion, our practitioners prioritise working through to minimise the impact of the stiffness, tightness and spasms that can prevent full range of motion and muscle control.
As with many clients, Karena had one leg that needed more of Erin’s focus than the other. In the space of a 90-minute session, Karena’s legs not only have a lot less spasticity, but are now functioning more evenly. Our clients often share with us the simple things they miss that people might not even think about. Swinging the legs might not even be a thought for others, but for Karena it hasn’t been a possibility for “ages,” so we’re very glad that her hard work in this session means she’s able to do that again.
