Multiple Sclerosis: Building Strength

Our approach goes beyond just the work in the clinic, particularly when it comes to degenerative conditions like Multiple Sclerosis.
Building muscle and strength is a substantial goal for many of our clients, many of them have never used a gym before, or aren’t familiar with how to train to build strength and muscle. Part of our approach is to teach clients how to train in a way that is going to be most effective in rebuilding strength and muscle.
We often refer to our approach like a ‘relay race’ - we start the race by building the foundation (improving the brain-body communication and ability to control and contract the muscles). We then can ‘pass the baton’ to the client with strategies such as training to continue the work we’ve started. Muscle and strength takes time and repetition to build, so this is their job. It is so important for degenerative conditions, especially for clients who have experienced loss of strength and/or muscle atrophy.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never stepped foot in a gym before — our team is great at breaking down the barriers!
