Multiple Sclerosis Rehab: Learning to Stand

  • Jun 30
  • 1 min read

Multiple Sclerosis Rehab: Learning to stand with progressive MS MS progression over time has made it very difficult for Emma to stand unaided — so this was her primary goal during her first intensive at APEX NEURO. Rob and Emma completed some foundational work improving the ability to recruit and control her muscles, before they begin to practice standing.

At first, she has Rob’s hands for stability until to become more familiar with stabilising and staying stood. With repetition, they are able to progress to standing unaided! Each time she gets more confident and steady.
