Multiple Sclerosis - Sit-to-Stand and Standing
Multiple Sclerosis Rehab - Sit-to-Stand and Standing
Multiple Sclerosis progression has impacted Deny’s mobility, including her ability to go from sit-to-stand, and to stay standing. In her first attempt, the effort is clear, but the form is holding her back, she is having to twist her body and put the emphasis on pushing through her arm, which is a really difficult way to stand. Laura has spent hundreds of hours with clients working on this movement, so it’s easy for her to spot the adjustments needed to get a quick improvement (this is WITHOUT any help from the electrical stimulation).
With some coaching and practice, Denys progresses not just in more fluid and stable standing, but into a solid stand for nearly 2 minutes - a great step towards more independence and control!
