Multiple Sclerosis walking rehab: intense spasticity following HSCT lead Eddie to reach out to us after seeing the work we do with MS.
Rob and Eddie spent time reducing the intensity of the tightness in his muscles that was preventing him from recruiting them. Once this was reduced they were able to start rebuilding foundational movements that contribute to walking like bending and lifting the legs.
You can see a lot of the work was then able to be done without the electric — instead with some coaching and reminders. This is a key part of our approach, we don’t want clients to rely on the external machine (which initially is providing a stimulus to help improve the brain and body communicate) but to progress to walking and moving without this help.Â
