Real-World Rehab for Multiple Sclerosis (Canada to UK for MS neurorehabilitation)

Real-world rehab for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Leanne reached out from Canada after seeing APEX NEURO’s results working with Multiple Sclerosis as she had started to experience challenges with her walking, especially when outside the house. After completing some ‘ground work’ improving Leanne’s ability to lift her feet, reducing spasticity and her ability to use her hip flexors, Laura is ready to take Leanne outside to start tacking ‘real world’ challenges. You’ll notice this isn’t using any electric - this is all Leanne and coaching from Laura.

They tackle:

• Busy and crowded spaces (often this makes clients freeze or lose confidence/focus)

• Cyclists and navigating hazards (including practicing lateral steps)

• Using stairs

• Crossing the road (sometimes the added pressure adds a layer of challenge!)

• Up and down slopes

• Different surfaces

Laura also coaches Leanne when fatigue starts to kick in and she feels less stable. It’s important to ‘train’ and practice in these conditions as this is likely to happen in day to day life! We believe true rehab doesn’t just take place in controlled clinic environments but out in the real world.
